The 'honey' name comes from this warm, golden appearance which indicates a clean, high-copper alloy with good tin content. The 'import' prefix indicates material sourced from international markets — typically from Europe, the Middle East, or Southeast Asia — where stricter recycling processes produce cleaner, more consistent scrap. Import Honey commands premium pricing due to its high copper content (typically 85-88%), consistent alloy composition, and minimal contamination.
