About Copper Armature Scrap
Copper Armature Scrap consists of copper wire windings extracted from electric motors, generators, alternators, and starters. The armature is the rotating component inside these machines, wound with enamelled copper wire that carries electrical current to create magnetic fields. When motors reach end-of-life, the copper windings are extracted and sold as armature scrap. This is one of the most common and valuable forms of copper scrap in the industrial recycling chain. The copper content is typically 85-95% (the remainder being enamel insulation and minor impurities). We buy armature scrap from electrical repair shops, motor rewinding workshops, industrial plants, and scrap dealers across India. We also accept complete motors for dismantling.
Key Applications
- Copper recovery through melting and refining
- Wire rod manufacturing after electrolytic refining
